I'll ride a 5-6" travel bike *almost* anywhere. No RB Rampage stuff. No huge drops, or 60' senders, but down the most techy/sketchy stuff you can come up with. Exposure doesn'tbother me either. I ride (and teach) "slow and in control". It takes way more talent than travel to ride most of Moab...
If your technique is good you may need some "moleskin" on your elblow area where its getting rubbed. Also consider having the bot shoot your rifle with something like Atomic Ammunition's Subsonic 175gr. to start out with.

I've been utterly bored shooting my R700 AAC 16.5" in McCree Precision Chassis. It didn't brea the bank, and despite my ineptitude (new word) behind the trigger the rifle would just as soon save paper by using the same hole over and over in the targets.
