brakes

When installing a Harrel's type muzzle brake with a series of baffles and radial ports is the .020" clearance used for all baffles, or are the clearances larger for the first baffles? Any help would be appreciated.

Hope this is not a stupid question but who out there cleans their muzzle brake on a 308.Is it necessary? The reason I ask is that some guys never clean their rifles either or only after hundreds of rounds when they say accuracy declines. Thanks.

Need an educated option on muzzle brakes. I’m trying to build a benchrest/tactical rifle in 338 ultra mag .It has a Montana 1.250,30”chrome moly barrel. I was thinking of a cheytac muzzle brake.

I'm doing a project on a Savage in .260rem. It has a factory varmint contour barrel. I want to put a brake on it but I'm not sure which one. I don't want one with ports on the bottom. I'd like one that that looks like it belongs there. Not necessarily a turned down Vais but definitely not a big...
