Bought a USMC McMillan smear stock for a M14. It has an orange and red sticker on the butt that says "USMC Shooting Team". Has butt plate, swivels, and several dings and dents so it has been around the block a few times. Paid $300 for it. Did I get taken or was it worth the asking price?

these appear to be very sturdy yet very heavy stocks available at a very VERY cheap price. Is there really any cons to these stocks other than weight? What makes them avoidable? oh and can this sucker be inletted for the badger ordnance DBM?

Is it even worth it to bed it? Or should I save the time and spend the cash on a new stock?
