    New TRG 42 with 1:10 twist?

    Sorry if I am posting something that has been posted b4, but as of this year does Sako make a TRG 42 338 that sports a 1:10 twist for the new 300 grain Scenars? If so -- how do you differentiate the 1:10 rifles from the 1:12 ones? Are both being sold in the USA? Thanks, Dark

    I'm looking at gettting a new upper from white oak, and theya re giving me a choice of 1:12 or 1:7 twist rate, I see alot of posts about the 1:8 and 1:7 but have not heard anything about the 1:12. what would a 1:12 be good for? I'm assuming that I should go with the 1:7 but before I do, I'm...

    Question: twist rate for .338 bullets

    I'm curious about the proliferation of 1:9.4" and 1:9.3" twist rate that is commonly suggested for .338's; 300 grain bullets in particular. Everyone agrees that the 1:10" <span style="font-style: italic">works</span>, but then there are those who will chime in and say a 1:9.4" or 9.3" works...

    Faster twist barrels?

    Are faster twist barrels an advantage at longer ranges? I've read that the disadvantage is "over-stabilization" that effects lighter bullets and magnifies any flaws in the bullet. Im wondering if a bullet is able to maintain its flight with out "wobbles" as it spins "to fast" and is still...
