Re: 1000 yard group

Have you ever shot a stell plate that was painted with anything other than a bb gun? If you notice on that larger pic it looks like 2 possibly 3 punched all the way through. That splatter happens because the steel atcually knocks the paint off when it deforms like that. Also take notice of the other Cratters as you reffer to them. See how they've been painted over. Now lets here some more about your mfng experience. Oh and graves over in Iraq would get that splatter look if they were poured concrete rather that stacked brick, and yeah they make damn good targets for practice.

Re: 1000 yard group

It's very simple.

1. You are honest, or you are not...
2. It is not a problem to cheat (do not need photosop - why not just to put a paint on the craters which do not fit to the perfect group).
3. Repect is equal to things you do.

Re: 1000 yard group

The steel we have set up at 1000 is relatively thin (compared to the 100 through 800 yard targets), but still is surprisingly heavy. The 208s surprised us at that range. The 308s (178amax) we were shooting that day didn't even come close to making as big of a dent.
