I just found a sweat spot for my well I will just list the details than ask.

Ruger M77 .308 TG/VT
1/10 twist 18 inch stainless barrel with Gemteck Quicksand

150 grain blunt nose/flat base subsonic bullets are fun and cheap to shoot at 100 yards, should I try 180s next? I want to try and take a hog this up coming season without making so much noise. I think 180s will hit harder but 200s would be even better. any thoughts?

Re: .308 Win Subsonic

All the flat nosed bullets shot very well for me. The 180 round noses did great too, so definitely worth a look.

I think you might struggle with 208gr Amax, they are pretty long arent they? If i were you, i would try the 220gr Sierra Pro Hunter. It is as short as possible with that weight (RNSP). I shoot it in my .30-06 1-10" and 20" barrel with great success! Allthough people said i might get problems stabilizing it, it works for me.
This is what it sounds like. 315m/s ...
