Range Report 534 yards range report 1-8-11

Here is what I was able to pull off with

175 SMK
IMR 4064 @ 44.2 grains or 44.7 (I kinda mixed the reloads, but both shoot under .5 MOA for me) 44.2 FPS is 2570 at 51* and 44.7 FPS is 2598 at 51*
Winchester Brass trimmed at 2.005 (only neck sized)
Federal 210M primer
COAL: 2.800

Clear Lake, CA

Altitude 1400
BP: 30.06 last I got before no cell range
Temp: 51*
Humidity: 40-60 (not really sure and I really need to get a Kestrel 4200 now)
Wind 5-10 MPH @ 2 O'Clock from my direction.
Clear Sky

You guys think this is decent from a Remington 700 SPS Tactical with a 20" barrel ?

Here is what I did with my last 4 shots I had left, and incase you cant see it its 2.520" @ 534 yards (range finder was used for distance)

If they were centered on target, you'd really have something there.

well I kinda guessed the dope, and FPS of my rounds. The thing of it was I got mixed up with the IMR 4064 44.2 charge and 44.7 charge and i dialed dope for the 44.2 which made me hit a little high and i didnt adjust for wind which was at about 2-5 MPH. I will play with these loads a little more for long range and post more results.

I'm assuming you've done all your load of element already, but just to let you know 44.4 gave me the best sd's and es's with the same prep that you did for your loads.

the target looks really good now that you have your dope I would go out and do it again. If they continue to be repeatable then you have a really good load in your doing good.

was that on your private land or is it public. I'm trying to find a place to shoot that isn't restricted to 100yds down here in the bay area.

This is at Clear Lake. When I get a chance I will post some videos of some of the spots on youtube and post a link here.
