Almost a year later and ya’ll were right… I done fucked up selling my AXSA…. I’ll consider it a blessing in disguise as I’m waiting for that AXSR in sage green and a TT735P to go on top
So extended mags only? A 5 round mag in that chassis could be tough. That being said, I’m looking forward to this hitting the streets… someday.

I switched to 65 when I still had axsa. No issues yet. Axsa were known to have too much glue around the clam shell.
It took me YEARS and going the custom route many times before I got my AT and the Vortex G2I unfortunately don't think I'd ever be able to afford or justify having a NF or ZCO.. as much as I would like one.

My wife told me I am never, ever ever ever allowed to sell it. She will probably bury me with it.
I just removed the action and then found out because of the way they milled the trigger housing that I can’t remove the trigger past a certain point or it hits the bottom of the trigger guard. But it works.
I love my AT. The only reason at this time i could possibly think as to why i might move it on is because i want to get another Long Action Rifle for some ELR at some point in the future... to save on buying two lots of glass, i might consider selling the AT and buying a MC... maybe.
Keep the AT and save for the MC. You’ll be thankful later in. One of the guys in here has the exact setup @hafejd30
If at all possible I would keep the short action and add the large frame model later. My AXSA is my favorite rifle and most practical, I haven't got to play with AT-X much yet though.
This AT is the one rifle I’ll never sell. No plans to sell the MC either but it comes down to it the AT still is king in this castle

I've got the flat shoe here, been sitting on it for about 6 months... Don't want to pull the rifle apart to put it in. Being lazy... Even considered shortening the flat blade to slip it in, still assembled.

Thanks man, I didn’t want to pull it apart either. But @TheGrabiod gave me some advice after I already did. But I think it would work if you slide the stock trigger shoe forward. Then pull the trigger and can use something to keep the trigger in the “fired” position then slide the old shoe off and new shoe on. Yes I believe that one was discontinued by RRS. I’d look at Sawtooth’s Arca rail for the AT. It lets the gun sit lower vs the RRS rails.
Ya I got a spigot from elite iron for my bipod it gets it out front and closer the bore. I may just the RRS rail that stop flush with the fore end
Seeing reports from shot show indicating AI may replace the AT with the AT-X line. As in eliminate the AT
