Over 70 law enforcement officers raided a live-fire training facility and seized all its property, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden received, from the court, a writ of possession ordering him to seize all property named in the writ and turn it over to the new owner and remove and everyone on the Altair Training Solutions property, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office said.

The property was being used as a regional training facility on the 31000 block of Nafi Drive, Immokalee.

The Altair Training Solutions company converted the Hendry Correctional Institute four years ago. Altair then went into foreclosure, and then the property was sold to South Florida Ops, LLC for $100 at auction last month.

    Hi,

Same principals as CMG Partners (The original mortgage holders).

So they sold the mortgage from 1 of their companies to another 1 of their companies. Just so happen the new company has a name that could essentially take over and resume training operations at the facility as soon as Altair could not pay the mortgage.

I bet the lenders were giving Altair all the money they asked for and probably some they did not ask for.......Just waiting for the moment they could not pay the note.

    Sincerely,

The $100 sounds fishy, like it wasn't advertised properly.

    Hi,

Correct :), it was more of a "formality" fee the court put onto South Florida Ops since they were the mortgage holder and the ones that filed suit against Altair.
So it basically cost South Florida Ops an additional $100 to take possession by force of their 4.4 million dollar property they held the papers to.

    Sincerely,

This really sucks, I was thinking about getting the long range member$hip they offered after Manatee Gun Club was forced to close their 1000 yd range but I'm glad I didn't, hopefully the new owner keeps the long range open.
They used to have a monthly open shoot sponsored by a local gun range, for $60 you had a chance to shoot out to 1200yd once a month on a Saturday

The Training Grounds (Formerly Altair) is now open. You can find them on Facebook and we have been shooting the South Florida PRS Club Series matches there. The range goes out to 1300 yds at ground level but you can shoot further from the tower. The mirage sucks though and will be hard to spot impacts and misses.

Hey everyone. The story about the raid is accurate. The new owners of the facility have named it Training Grounds as stated above. BPO Tactical does host PRS clinics and Open range time at the long distance range, we also hold PRS Club matches at the facility. You can check out our site, lot all of our events are posted on our facebook page as well. We have a lot of fun and are really glad that the new owners have allowed us to continue using the facility without the pricey membership fees.

That’s great news! I’m putting together a 224 Valkyrie upper but had no real motivation since I need to travel 90 minutes to shoot more then 25-yards. That’s a lot further away but worth the trip every now and then.

I though to would write here to clarify some of these rumors. First of all, the larger prison is owned by CMG and being leased to a gun club. That lease has currently expired. Second, the $100 transaction on the Deep lake facility was the fee to record the foreclosure. The "Raid" that took place was a formal eviction when Brian and Michelle refused to leave the property AFTER the foreclosure. The Deep Lake facility is currently under development into a LEGAL gun range. Alt Air NEVER gained legal authority to operate a gun range there.

It’s done all of the time in business. A move as old as the hills and always getting new takers.

$75 at Tradecraft. $50 at Manatee-if you're interested in that.

    Check https://www.facebook.com/groups/163766113978748/ for matches.

    BPO/Alamo host training/open range days. https://www.facebook.com/bpotactical/

Ghost 5 also hosts training/open range days. G5 also just hosted the night PRS match that benefited LEOs. https://www.facebook.com/G5TS.FL/

The reality is if you pay attention to the SoFLo FB page, you'll see everything happening at Tradecraft and Manatee with respects to PRS/Training. Manatee Precision (Manatee PRS) has it's own FB page, but the crowd is all the same and everyone hits the South Florida Precision Rifle Association page.
