I read pmclaine's thread about shooting a green gun today, and realized I did too. I received this from Robert Snyder yesterday. Today I got everything installed and set up, then took it to the range. It's a Defiance Deviant action, with a 26 in. Kreiger barrel chambered in 6.5 CM, 1:8 twist, AIAX chassis in Sage Green, Harris bipod, SB PMII 5-25x56 in a Spuhr mount. By the time I got everything set up and fitted to me, zeroed at 100, etc., I was running short of time. But, I did manage to take it out to 670, then 800, and a couple at 1000 before having to pack it in. What a fitting day to put a new green gun into service.

Thanks! Barrel and action are Cerakoted, bolt is melonited (but we almost went with the new, tougher version of Cerakote, Cerakote Elite, I think it's called). Accuracy International changed the color coordination of their green AX chassis - it used to have a black hand guard and cheek riser/comb, but now they're just solid green. I had intended to paint the barreled action green because there was more black than green on a green AX. But with the new version it's the opposite, so I changed it to black. I like the two-tone look.
