30 some years ago, a company I work for used a psychological profile test called the TIMS test. As a leader we were trained to administer the test and review the profiles. We were to administer the test to all job applicants. I was taken back how well it profiled me. I was skeptical, but curious. I had a woman who worked at me that was better at looking at the profile chart and describing how the individual would supposedly react in different situations.
I handed her a stack of applicants for my area. Unbeknownst to her, I slipped my profile into the stack with a small mark in the upper right corner.
There were several of us gathered in her cubicle as she went through the profiles explaining how this individual would react, how that individual would react, until she got to mine. I swear to God he words were 'OH my God it's an ax murder'
I've worn that as a badge of honor ever since. The people who know me understand when I tell them that every morning when I get up and shave, I make a conscience note the 'today I choose to be a nice person', I don't have to, I choose to.
For some reason, no one ever messed with my stuff (even my wallet), even when I worked in a call center environment.
I laugh every day when I think that we all have to make choices in life... I choose to be nice.
I don't know doc, when you have that little pink... staring you in the face, I don't think that's crazy, do you?
