Hi, I have a question to all of you Atlas bipod users. The tension ring on mine only rotates a few mm in either direction for cant and swivel. The directions say it should rotate 1/2 to 3/4 turn. I called my vendor and they say its normal but I wanted to check with you all. Thanks

Thanks for your replies. I just got my new rifle after months of waiting and I haven't played with the bipod until it was mounted. I have used others and the knob did turn more however his was several years old. I won't give it a second thought and let it break in. Thanks again guys. Great group of guys on the board.

I just got mine back from B&T. I had the same problem as you describe. The tension knob would turn roughly 1/16 (read: not very much) of a turn and I did not notice any adjustment in the tension. I initially called B&T and they told me this was normal operation and it would loosen up. After about 6 months it had not loosened up at all. I called again and they said to send it in. I got it back in about 4 or 5 days and got a call that it was indeed not right. After getting it back, the knob rotates about 1/2 turn and there is definitely a major difference in tension. I would call them...Great CS BTW...

Thanks for your reply. Good to hear I am not the only one. I will give it some time but when I tell you it's not moving much, it's not moving more than a few mm. I actually ripped my hand trying to turn it this afternoon. But it's good to hear that they take of their customers months after purchase. That makes me feel better about waiting. I hate to be a bother unless its necessary if you know what I mean.
