Atlas PSR tension knob loosens, any suggestions?

LOL, I love my Atlas Tension Wrench Michael but I'll hold off on the 'El Chapo' version until I'll get some 24 carat hubcaps, gold fixtures, or develop a hankerin' for rap, or mariachi music and then I'll wear it proudly around my neck on a 2 lbs. chain. As for the Atlas Tension Wrench itself it has my full endorsement; carry it to the range every time, use it, love it - two thumbs up!

Thanks- glad you like it! Yeah the Gold ATW is surprisingly popular : ) I think I like them because the are machined so nicely, the gold shows it off.

The plain black version also has the nicely machined clean lines and fits right in with the rest of the B&T Atlas gear. Some range gear porn to prove it.

When looking at the knob, from the bottom, the normal right tightens it, left loosens it and the knob should rotate about 270 degrees or 3/4 rotation. Using your hands only, go ahead and crank hard to left on it and see if it "breaks free" (what we are suppose to do here). If you dont get it to move, contact me.

I have more or less opposite problem as OP, Kasey. On mine, I have 3, I have trouble loosening the knob enough so I can set the cant. I can get it loose but really have to wrestle the rifle until my ACD shows level. It seems to tighten either direction I turn it, with the 'loose' part being in the center... I've not needed to use the 'pan' feature of the bipod. I see the convention is supposed to be 'lefty loosie-rightee tightee'. I just bought the Gen2 with the lever and that one works great.

Suggestions? TIA, lg

I'd give Kasey's B&T Industries a call to see what they'd recommend (316) 721-3222. Where did you purchase your Atlas?

I like the El Chapo because it doesn't get lost in the grass......or in a tunnel!!! That "Bling" really stands out, had a fellow "accidentally" try to roll it up in his mat after borrowing mine a few months ago. Thank god another fellow noticed it and brought my bling back.

I guess it has its advantages in preventing one from getting "rolled". It's just that old service hang up of mine with preferring camo and black, but then again , why not fire hydrant red? Or metallic red, so it can go as an "ensemble" with my TriggerTech Diamond? All that aside the wrench works perfect in form and function, the rest is "fashion talk", so in the slightly changed words of Robin Williams in "Good Morning Vietnam" : " ...if you're going to the range, you're going there to shoot; so why not make a statement - clash!" LOL!

Kasey recently “converted” my V7 to a CAL.

Besides having a quality product B&T has customer service that’s second to none.

@Kasey can this be done on my PSR Tall? Would prefer the CAL Tall if my PSR can be converted. Thanks.
