It’s been a rough month gents. I’ve taken my oldest daughter who is 5 to the beach and to disney world for the first time. Had an awesome trip but upon our return we have lost a lot of family members. My oldest and my 18 month old have lost a great grandfather, a great grandmother and two uncles all inside the last 3 weeks. And I have had the flu and my wife now has strep. So, to say I’ve had a bit of a rough December would be an understatement. Eh, probably the alcohol talking. Anyways....

Condolences on you losses, they're always tough.

Ouch man, sorry to hear :( I hope everything gets better

Prayers for you now as I just saw this.

It is hard. No doubt. Most all of us have been there too Always remember the One who eases the burden. He does and will anytime you ask.

In my work years ago I did a lot of hospice work. This is a busy time of year for folks going home. Pain free, worry free, and at peace forever.

    God Bless you and yours

We will keep you in our prayers. As much as it hurts to say this....your loved ones are no longer suffering the torment of this life. They are in eternal love with God the father. The people suffering are us, the ones who have to carry on. We are not yet ready for the warm embrace that is heaven. When we are ready God the father will call for us as well.

This Christmas will be one you never forget. Perhaps you can adjust your point of view to celebrate their lives at the same time of year we celebrate the life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I hope this helps in some small way. It’s the only way I’ve been able to deal with the loss of my loved ones. Now I smile when I reflect on them, knowing they are finally living their best existence, now and forever.

@DevilDocAZ - Im gonna send that on. Excellent way to convey the amazing love we have been freely given.

There are a lot of guys here I pray for, we have chatted about it. They never said stop and we can all use it.

God dont care who you ask for, or if they believe exactly the same as you. Its above love beyond our comprehension.

For you in a prayin mood, please pray for Aunt Susie. She is an aging nun who just lost an even older nun from her order on Thursday AM.
In 3 years she has lost 3 older nuns she spent her entire life with after finishing college (about 50 years now).

Prayers for you and yours Stalkr.
Seems Dec is usually tough. Most of one side of my family died in December. My mother (91) and I joke that if we make it through December then we’re good to go for another 11 months.

Damn SilentStalkr, that’s truly rough. I’m saddened by your loss, and sad that your children will not know their great grandparents.
I hope you and your wife get to feeling better real soon.
I know it’s going to be hard, but remember to keep Christmas magical for your little girl. I pray that 2020 starts way better than 2019 ended.
I couldn’t help but hear Merle Haggard singing “If We Make It Through December” while I was reading your OP.
Prayers for you and your entire family.
