Army has proof: conspiracy theories about Jürgen Conings stirred up from Russia​

There are concrete indications that the conspiracy theories surrounding Jürgen Conings were instigated by Russian internet trolls. So says the army chief of staff, Michel Hofman. The chief of defense (CHOD) therefore wants a full-fledged cyber defense faster.
According to the chief of staff, evidence has been found of Russian interference "with the intent to destabilize our Western society and radicalize our people," it said.
