Here in Wyoming we get wind and snow with gusts up to 90 mph at freezing and below. Every winter. Without fail. About two years ago we broke cold temperatures records for weeks when in got to -10 to -25 in southern Wyoming for near 18 days.
Never made the news. Never wanted it to. With only 500k in the whole state, we are a black hole to the rest of the country. Just as I would like to keep it.

Yep, Wyoming is a black hole to most Americans. If I could convince my wife, I’d be in that black hole with you. Closest she’s willing to get is Utah. I can work with that if we can find some rural space.

One of the calamities that has not been mentioned in this thread and definitely needs to be discussed at length is the absolute FACT that the world is slowly flooding!! That’s right flooding! Based on my own observations and the fact that I made straight A’s in science all through grammar school I have determined that the earths water table is being pushed to the surface!!! This will cause the earth to flood on a biblical scale within the next 90-120 days.. I am basing this on the fact that water is raising in the low places in my yard at the rate of 1/4 to 1/2” per day!! The water table is being pushed to the surface to cause this or.......the fucking overflow pipe on my spring is stopped up again!?

I'm from Utah and as beautiful as it is with as much family as I have living there, I still refuse to move back and only visit instead. Californians are flocking there and Idaho like they did Colorado, at least they're still scared of a real winter and having to go to the underground to buy their weed.
