The 280AI "Hide" rifle. Action, stock, rail, rings, bullets, and brass came from the trading post. Found out about carbon 6 barrels here as well. 8.9lbs without scope. 24" magnum barrel 2lbs 14oz.

Shoots just as good as my other custom barrels. Even shoots my Berger 140 load that all my creeds like!! I’m happy 😎
Let the killen begin!!!

I think I've finally finished my load development for my C6 18" sendero in 6.5CM. Tikka pre fit.

Shooting .3-.4" groups on average with 140 ELD over 40.5 gr of H4350, 2680 fps avg @ 30-40 degrees. SD of 7-8. Impressive speed for an 18" barrel suppressed.

As someone else mentioned earlier in this thread, my barrel sped up about 150 FPS total. It settled in after 150ish rounds and has been stable the last 100 rds to 250 total at this point. I've only been reloading/in this game for a little over a year now and wasn't expecting that. My previous PVA barrel only sped up about 50 fps total. Not that I'm complaining, it is fast, accurate and light. Exactly what I was looking for in my "all purpose" groundhog to whitetail field rifle.

Now I just have to slow myself down some compared to my previous PVA light palma. The C6 does heat up a bit faster, but it also cools faster.

I have one chambered 22 creedmore. 22” on my origin. By black canyon customs.

First shot to sight in and then a 5 shot group. With a guess at a load with 75 ELDM at 3400ish FPS.

Coyotes don’t like it much.

Will do!! I messaged you about some 450 builds! Planning on Travis at Travis Customs spinning me up a rifle with a LP Fuzion Ti and KS1 stock. Have you been able to run any flush style mags like the Hawkins or Curtis flush fit?

I ordered mine November 18....still waiting. I expect a shipping anytime though. I talked to Gene a couple weeks ago and he was shipping November orders then.
Did you ever get your barrel? I followed up and what was quoted as 12-14 is now 5 months. Will be my last barrel from them.

I haven't received mine or heard anything, early December order. Probably give them a call in the next couple of weeks.

That shouldnt come as a big surprise given the way things have been with the supply chain. Be patient. Things are weird. It will come.

Yes it showed up last friday. I sent a borescope through it and am happy with everything so far. I was told the same thing when I talked to them. I know that between my barrel and when I made my second payment they had another 500 or so orders go through just based on the invoice number differences. They are pretty busy. Some barrel companies are 9-12 months out at the moment. For Kelbly to do one right now I think its about a year. Hope yours shows up soon. So far I have been happy with the process. I knew it would be around this time of year before it showed up.

I’m having a tough time figuring it out. When I put something in the bolt face and push out the extractor as far as it will go, the largest reading I am getting is like .710

I have a 6.5 Max barrel with counterbore .71 and the m16 extractor will not make it over the case rim. If I push my extractor open with a fingernail, I can measure all the way to .79 or so, but all of that isn't needed (at least with my bolt) to make it over the rim. C6 already sent me a UPS tag to send it back for a reamin', and I'm going with LRI's recommendation of 0.75.

factory bolt?

Nope, I emailed them beginning of May and they said “no time frame, hopefully in 4-5 months from order but no guarantee”

I talked to em today because I was gonna change the length of my barrel. They mentioned all of their February orders are in the carbon wrap phase so should be close

That’s good news!! Glad it’s not something crazy like 1yr. Hoping I can get the build done before hunting season!

My Feb 12th order is shipping, should be in MI Wednesday next week! 17.5” 45p… going to send it off to Travis at TS Customs to chamber and build me up a badass straight wall deer slayer

A pic of mine in the wild. Build is as follows
7rem mag
Stock Tikka action
AG composites stock
Atlasworx bottom metal with 3rd AICS mag
C6 27” barrel SAAMI cut chamber 1:8.5 twist
Rifle weighs in at 7.5 lbs before glass
Glass is Zeiss LRPS5 with Spuhr rings.

I intended to shoot 175 Bergers but the supply was non existant. Luckily a friend had an abundance of 195s so I figured I would try em out. I am able to send them out at 2900 fps even seating them way deep in the case due to the saami throat. 1/2 MOA and better depending on the shooter. I will throat this after the season here ends and see if I can squeeze another 100 fps out of it. I am tickled how well it actually handles the 195s

Just curious, how many rounds did it take your barrel to finish speeding up after the break in period? Right off the get go my barrel seems to be producing pretty fast speed, wondering if the fact its hand lapped helps with all of that and not much barrel speed up take place. I had a .338 and 6.5 barrel from other brands take between 120-160 rds to finish "Speeding up"

mine was around 125-150 before it really settled in. It probably picked up 60-80fps. Hard to say because I was constantly tweaking things and making adjustments to the gun and loads.

We ordered 4 blanks, one is going to be mine.
I dont know im a crazy, but i have always wanted a carbon wrapped bull barrel, so one of those is coming for me :D
6,5mm 1/8" and 24".
I know some people do not break in a barrel, so should i not do it with this either?
I have a Krieger SS barrel same specs, and i did not break that in either.
If the barrel is hand lapped, is it just a waist of time, to break it in?
Maybe few brush in and out with an oil, cleaning and just shoot it.

Mine did take about 120-150 to break in as well. 17 inch 7 saum barrel shooting the 180s at 2800 fps in a short action using rl26. It has shot a .28 moa 5 shot group at 100 yards on a lightweight hunting rig. Pretty happy with the barrel!

I've got 3 C6 barrels shooting great; not particularly fast but not slow either. On par with my cut rifled steel tubes using the same loads.

Gene is great to work with, have no fear!

In fact, putting together another order for a couple more C6 tubes!

Surpriced the quality, looking very nice.
Now i need to think, will i do it to .260Remington or 6.5 Creedmoor.
In Finland you are not able to do a caliber, that you dont all ready have with out a gun license, that fucking cost a 105€.
But if you do the barrel for a caliber you have a license, it is 40€.
Some how a 6.5 Lapua would be nice, but then i would need to buy die set, and i dont like cheap shit dies, and that would cost another 200€.

You built that rig for the full quiver outdoors dudes in Michigan. Just saw a video of them shooting a buck with it on YouTube. Nice looking setup.
