Cecile-TS thermal weapon sight at 1000 yards (warning: dumb noobie questions ahead...)

I'm contemplating getting this unit (http://www.scrome.com/en/products/cecile-ts.html) to put on top of a .300 win mag for predator work at night. Anybody have experience with this specific unit (the 16x version)? What do you think of the idea in general? Would this unit even be usable at that range?

Best choice for 1000 yards is going to be a clip on like the Theon ELR so you can use an regular scope and take advantage of the scopes reticle for drop and dope. I am unsure what reticle is in that thermal scope or vertical adjustments for drop. 1000 yard thermals are available, but you are going to need to spend a couple thousand on a scope and just under $20k for a clip on.
