My RCBS CM1500 shows a pretty consistent offset of about .1 grains low of intended charge weight. I am checking this against a redding Model 2 beam scale calibrated with RCBS check weights at many different target charge weights.

Yes the CM does vary a bit from that -.1gr, sometimes it shows spot on. sometimes even a tad high. But usually right at about .1 low. Is there a way for me to trim that out? Yes, I know I can just set the scale for .1 higher than I intend, but that's not really the point.

Also, yes I know I can call RCBS and send it in. Im asking in case there is a DIY method to try first. Thanks all!

Does it read low with the plastic draft hood both open and closed or is there a difference in reported weight between hood closed and hood swung to the side?

I've had enough static buildup on the clear plastic draft hood before to see up to a 0.4gr difference in weight between the door swung all the way to the side vs. closed over the pan. Closing the hood would lighten the weight reported. There was enough static buildup you could feel it if you got your hand close to the hood.

Wiping everything on the CM down with some Endust anti-static spray took care of that issue.

Just something you might want to check before you dig into the programming menu...
