Dear Google, why do you hate America?? Letter from a marine

that was a good letter that will never be answered , maybe by the Chinese that control so much of google. and he should ask gm why they are closing so many plants in the us just to become the largest auto manufacturing company in Mexico.

whats the alternative to google?

There is DuckDuckGo

However that still uses Google (and a bunch of other search engines), pulls in the data from them & sends it to you while "protecting" your privacy.
It often however winds up being not as good with hard to find items.

Other than that, it's a matter of which Insane Technocrat with a God complex that hates you would you like to support today?

Google
Microsoft
Verizon group

Then there are several other smaller players but none that I'd consider "freedom loving".

There is a Ted medical talk- long story shortened
Researcher is aware that drug cocktails have some great or horrible results
Researcher wants to look at google data for hints search like
Drug name 1 and drug name 2 and (side effect) nausea- etc
Google would not let a researcher look at search data

Microsoft said- we keep everything types into Explorer. So if they use internet explorer, and google - we have the data

Researcher was able to find some drug cocktails that helped people with rare issues

That was good

The fact that google offered a free 411 service decades ago is scary

Google literally had 10,000,000 say Popa Johns into a cell phone
And then they build out voice recognition software to transcribe 90% of all phone calls for theNSA

Meta data my ass

People go to slaughter willingly, like sheep. Most don't care they are being violated and their minds being controlled and polluted. You care and I care but most just don't. Until that changes we are just mice in a cage.

Honestly, I don't want Google involved in our national defense, but at the same time I certainly don't want them involved in the war industry for other nations either. The fact they ignore China using them for just that is treasonous, and I don't use that term lightly.

I'd bet that these companies are as good at gathering undesirable info as the alphabet crews.
Something I'll bet dissenting politicians know.

Alphabet + Alphabet agencies isn't a good thing. That would be an exponential "perfect storm" situation in violation of the 5th Amendment, immediate access to every last bit of information they could ever care to want.

I understand the young 1stLt crying foul over Google's lack of participation in national defense, they are at the tip of cutting edge tech, but quite frankly I don't want big gov having that level of AI and metadata at their immediate access. We're in for a huge shift in the political arena, putting Google in the government pocket now would be like selling Afghanistan F-35s right before the Taliban move back into the government proper. Quite frankly, I think we should be focusing on the weakening of the federal government while we still can.

In my estimation that time has passed...

Even a junkie can stop shooting up today. It's never too late until the pulse stops.

Oh look, there's a budget deadline next week! Shut it the fuck down again, slash the fuck out of it.

I know, pipe dreams. Time to peruse Target Sports again...
