Thanks Switch!! Not just because I live in it, but it is a beautiful calm I have only seen matched when I've visited the mountains.

Sadly unless something is done there will be thousands of acres of it lost for a very long time with this oil debacle. My kids will live to see it recover not me!!

Education for the kid:
Bayou Country, or as we affectionally call our bayou bretheren, Coon Ass Country is home to a mix of both Cajun and Creole. The people there started out during and before the American Revolution as French settlers. During their time there, they of course gave birth to a mix of peoples that became known as Cajun, Creole. The song is in French because that is the second language of the area.
Our country is home to many beautiful areas in which we take pride in at the local levels. To me, the Nor-Cal Redwoods, and Sandy Beach, Oahu are the most beautiful sight in the lands that I always miss. Everyone here has a place like that where they come from. To each of us, that place is the most beautiful place on earth.

That brings back visions we won't see for a long time. We now have tar balls in Lake Ponchatrain and the end is no where in sight.
