Accessories Don’t crap in threads.....even if you think it’s price gouging.

@762recon should chill. Just because it was a high price doesn’t mean someone is taking advantage. Why would you sell something for less than it’s worth?????? If the going rate for primers was $200 per 1k, then that’s what people are willing to pay, and thus it’s current worth. If you don’t like the price, you don’t have to buy.
Dude....you are responding to a post made 27 months ago?

Yes, as this thread infers. Move on and don’t buy.

That said primers now are closer $100 per 1k. 😂

That's fair, keeps their ad free of random clutter.
And everybody doesn't need to know what's in play. The seller may be more receptive to an offer/negotiations if not in public. That's all I was thinking.

I have seen people ask if the seller was open to trades or willing to break a lot of stuff up into parts, but I'm not sure I've seen anyone make $$ offers in the open post.

Understand, I'm not a mod/admin and I'm no voice of authority on any of this stuff.

This thread is way too expensive.
I do agree that anyone should be able to sell any junk they want at any price, however, I would also think that a little gigging/stabbing & twisting here and there would help keep most sellers down in reasonable reality.

To the other comment on sending the seller a respectful offer - I did that a couple weeks ago and got berated, like I was secretly dating his mom. :sneaky:

Not publicly on the post. Send that person a private message or you’ll get lambasted. 😂 Some guys paid more and want to recoup.
I'll follow the general sentiment of the rules but like _everyone_ wants to recoup what they paid for something, but as some point listings become spam and to me that point is when it costs more than new to my door from a reputable dealer. Just expressing some slight disagreement I guess.

That's when you just simply skip over the ad and go on. If no one pays the asking price, the seller either lowers it or removes the ad. No comments necessary.

Again, I'm happy to do just that but your statement isn't quite true. Sellers will repost / bump for months without lowering. I'm new and have already seen some posts still bumped from January without any real price drops. If someone is looking to recoup what they got an item for despite where the market is, I don't see why they'd fold to reason and lower the price / remove the ad.

And what does it matter then? That’s up to the seller. It’s not our place to police pricing. It’s a free market and the price that something sells for is immaterial as long as the buyer is fine with it.

Like already said, just move on.

Censoring competition is literally the antithesis of a free market, and that's fine if that's what the rules dictate but let's not pretend here. I'm not looking to change the rules, I was just trying to get some clarification. It's strange that folks are seemingly trying to support a free market by encouraging the exact behaviors that antitrust cases are built upon. The mixed messaging is confusing to say the least.

Puzzled by your confusion. If you looked in the classified section of your local newspaper (in the old days) and found a price not to your liking, would you contact the paper and post a rebuttal? Same here. Ignore it and move on. Is it just the ease of an instant internet that allows you a disparaging post?

You are conflating ignoring something that doesn’t matter to antitrust? There is nobody dominating or controlling the for sale items here, you fucking idiot. You just want to argue and are trolling now. You’ll do really well in the Bear Pit here.

I don't think comparing to the old days is a useful exercise. That aside, I never mentioned any like, dislike, or subjectivity towards a price. I appreciate the name calling lash, that's really doing you favors. I guess this isn't really productive given the tone being given out but I hope you can both consider that I'm not trolling and just trying to clarify a little.

You are exceptionally mentally challenged. It’s not that hard. You’re conflating a truly open market, where everyone and anyone can offer product for any price they want, without being censored by someone who may not like that, to a closed system dominated by one or a cabal. That shows a severe lack of understanding or a general desire to argue. Either way, you indeed are a fucking idiot.

Good day!

Edit: I just realized that you’re from Austin. That explains a lot.
