Recently restored an old Horstkamp Fifty and remained true to Klaus' SWAT VERSION side mount. According to the old State Arms Gun Co. literature, "This combination allows for a low, natural firing position". Every piece of this firearm is stamped with Klaus' Iron Cross and was apparently popular with European Law Enforcement and Military.
Anyone with 'Old School' experience? Aside from adding some windage math to shots at range, any upside/downside? How popular has this goofy approach ever (if never) been in Amerika?
