I recently switched to the FA media separator and I was not impressed with how flimsy the thing is and also it has a tendency to toss quite a few pins outside the bucket. The clips suck and the guards are pieces of crap. I came up with an easy fix that tightens the whole thing up and also it now almost never tosses a pin out. I marked 2 notches on the bucket rim, purposely offset from the handle so it still comes up for carrying. I then took a utility knife and cut it out by hand:

Now the "barrel" sits tight inside with very little wobble and keeps all the pins in the bucket:

Not really reinventing the wheel here but it has worked so well I thought I would share.
