FA Intellidropper - straw mod ?

Been pretty pleased with the FA Intellidropper. As long as I let it warm up and calibrate it for each powder, its powder throws come out pretty spot on when checked with the triple beam.

But like the Hornady and RCBS, kernel-type extruded powders get over charges in 1 in 5 or 1 in 10 throws.

The straw mod seems like an answer, but I can't find a straw big enuf to fit tight in the spigot. Even McDonalds.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Headed to Lowes / hardware store next looking for something that'll work.

See if the guy in the classifieds still makes the bushings, he will have you measure the tube for a good fit.

I tried the straws before I got the bushings, bushings worked better for me.

Varget, H4350, CFEBLK, getting ready to run some CFE223. Ball and stick powders run very differnet in this and my old Hornady L-N-L.

Just ran 25 charges (5 ea of 26.6, 26.8, 27.0, 27.2 and 27.4) CFE 223.

25 - 0. No overs / unders.

Stuff meters great.

Yet to see if it shoots good.
