I've wanted an SBR for a long time and about a month ago, my paperwork finally came through. I was lucky enough to get my Noveske Chainsaw lower back in September and filed the ATF paperwork then.
Here are the build specs:
- Noveske Gen2 Chainsaw lower
- Vltor MUR upper
- Noveske SS 7.5" 1:7 barrel
- Noveske BCG
- Magpul UBR, MIAD, and AFG2
- H3 buffer
- Geissele Super 3-gun trigger
- Seekins Quad rail
- Aimpoint Comp M2
- Noveske KX3 flashhider
- Delta P Brevis 5.56 suppressor on the way (should clear the ATF in late summer)
Here she is, my new favorite range toy:
I was worried that the rifle would have cycling issues but it didn't have a single hiccup. As you can see from the pic below, I fired five shots (the first one you can't see because it's off the paper) to get zeroed on the orange bullseye. The next five shots I couldn't see and I was worried that I'd adjusted the CCO the wrong direction. However, after walking up to the target, I got a pleasant surprise. All five shots touching in the black at 50 yards. It's not a long distance, but for an SBR, I couldn't be happier with that little gun. I ran about 200 rounds through it after zeroing my optic and had zero issues with it. I shot Black Hills 75gr and 77gr remanufactured, Federal 55gr, some 62gr green tip, all without a single failure.
