Finally! We are going to catch up to Mexico!!!

I like a whiskey and Mexican coke.

I have to hide those bottles because even the grandkids know it's better.
While your at it add a big scoop of blue bell ice cream in there.

The kiddos complain but they don't get the whiskey in theirs.

Not sure why you're calling me out on this one but I've got a large hunk of Pork shoulder on the smoker tonight so reckon I can respond if I'm being called out.

I'm actually on @sirhrmechanic 's side here 100%. Here's a quick pic from The Duck's garage (zoom in for a special message).

WTF made anyone think all this artificial shit was better or safer than sugar?

You ever notice people 100 - 200 pounds or more overweight are usually guzzling diet sodas.

Shit don't work
It’s not the diet soda. It’s everything else. You can’t make up for a 5000 calorie diet and sedentary lifestyle with a Diet Coke, regardless of the impression that Cindy Crawford gave you. Artificial sweetener does exactly what it says. It sweetens without adding meaningfully to caloric intake, because the molecule is not broken down by the body. And, in terms of diet, artificial sweeteners (AS) are some of the most widely studied molecules around. Except for like one study where researchers fed mice something like 1/2 their body weight in AS on the daily, they’ve shown to have essentially no side effects.

Cane sugar is better than High Fructose Corn Syrup!

And Coke was intended as a treat/snack/pause that refreshes.

Not a 2 gallon a day habit.

So bring back cane sugar... And let Americans drink what the market bears.

As Kennedy said, "If you want your Coke and your Big Mac, you should stilll be able to get them." It's his job to help people understand the consequences of abusing the food available to them. (I paraphrase...)

This is how responsibility works.

But getting the 'food manufacturers' to remove dangerous shit from food is also a priority. And reminding people to look at the ingredients list. The very term 'Food Manufacturers' is disgusting... Food should be grown, raised, harvested, etc. Not manufactured. Manufactured stuff is not food. It's Soylent Green

Sirhr
Screw you buddy!!! It's a least a 5 gallon a day habit that only makes you teeth hurt a little bit!!

5000? Have you ever seen how those people eat? It's likely more like 25000.

I was blown away at how easy it is to eat 10000+. I've done it in one meal 😂
(Tortellini, chopped up brats, peppers and mushrooms, drowned in Alfredo. Was 36k and 3 of us ate it in one sitting...)

Simmer the brats in beer to get most of the fat out. Then grill them.

Less fat you eat and less flair ups on the grill.

And no, water brings no flavor to the party. All these calories mean little to younger very active crowd.

Some of us are forced to cut down by age related constraints. Sucks, but I still get a Mexican cola a couple times a week.

I worked at a convenience store when I was a senior in highschool. There was a family (mom, dad, and 2 kids) that came in almost every evening and bought four 2 liter diet cokes. Let’s just say the rest of their diet plan wasn’t working out for their weight loss goals, if such goals existed.

I on the other hand, dropped 30 lbs by cutting out “full strength” sodas and alcohol.

Yeah, I drink coffee, water, and a red bull at lunch. I'm sure I'd be over 300 lbs if I drank soda like I do water.

Last time I dropped 30 lbs I quit eating bread. Just meat and salad for a couple months.

The fact is, white cane sugar is one of the worst things you can put into your body...other than out and out poisons or polonium. Increases liklydood of all sorts of diseases, rots your teeth, and makes you obese. Cancer loves it.

"But it makes my coke taste better." Which is certainly does. LOL

I dont know if corn syrup is as bad.
White sugar and cane sugar are diffrent things.

The best part about all this is that Mexican coke is made with corn syrup. The "Mexican coke" made with cane sugar is made for and imported to the United States.

The water used to make a soda makes a big diffrence on the taste.

Corn syrup not worse for you than cane sugar. 🤣🤣🤣 And the food pyramid was about health also. Same shit they say about organic being the same as salt. It all breaks down to the same things. It kind of does, but that glosses over lots of important diffrences.

Euro Coke tastes different as well. I wonder if it’s the sugar or water or something else.

I am sure there are multiple things inculding the container. But especially out here in the desert where there is lots of Ummmm flavorful well water. 🤣🤣🤣 out of the tap here over 1200ppm of dissolved solids. You notice a big diffrence in tea and fountain drinks depending on where you are.

One town close to us had notoriously bad water. They had to put the entire town on RO water so they could bring in a prison. It was deemed inhumane for inmates to use the old municiple water supply.

Then everyone's lawns started turning yellow and they had to mix to get some ppm. 🤣🤣
