Just mailed in last week on 2 cans. Dealer said he had been getting 5 months but some were coming in at 60 to 90 days now.

You should call in with your serial number. There could have been an issue with paperwork, or it has been lost.

It is all about the examiner. My dealer just got a new examiner reviewing his paper work and has recieved paper back in as little as five to six weeks. Was averaging around 110 days with the previous examiner.

Is there any way to request a certain examiner? Mine is as slow as molasses in -20 degree weather. I have had the same one for all I've sent in.

No. They are all assigned by the head of the NFA Branch examiners.

My F4 and trust paperwork went in on the last week of August. Check cashed the last week of September, still no idea what's going on.

I am sure you guys have all seen this but just in case...

NFA TRACKER

The examiners apparently are assigned by the first initial of your last name and or the first initial of your Dealers name.

If you input your info it updates the DATA under the reports tab so input as much accurate data as you have. This is not my site but it is a great way to quickly look at Examiners, and timelines.

Dont know how you mailed it but I had a simular issue but found out why. I mailed my paperwork and check and then monitored the checking account. 2 weeks went by with no check cashed. I mailed mine with tracking number. The post office lost it. They found it and it was 2 weeks late arriving. I had guarantee 2 day delivery so I got my money back from the post office but it was still 2 weeks late getting my paperwork thru. Make sure to get a tracking number.

I won't go into too much detail for sake of running my mouth (fingers) to no avail, but what it *sounds* like happened was that my paperwork showed up on time, it was assigned to the initial examiner in early October and the 1st examiner was too busy so it was re-assigned to S. Snook

Hopefully it's here by Christmas...

Just sent in 2 forms today. Would have sent in a 3rd one but could not get the suppressor I wanted. Will have to wait until my dealer can get it in stock. Hope the wait time will not be long. These are the first ones I have ever sent in.

Probably best not to hijack this thread with that question. If you look thru the posts here in the Suppressor secion and read the posts about suppressors you will find your answers. Your best bet is to go back and edit this post and remove the question from this particular post. If you dont do this, believe me you gonna get blasted for it. Just my "nice" advise.

I cut and pasted the previous poster's format. Sorry for the confusion the Pending info at the bottom of the post was left in error.

The first time I called they advised it was approved on 10-27-10 and I should contact my dealer to check to see if the approved form arrived. I told the ATF person on the phone I had just sent it on 10-04-10 and she said "It shows approved in the system". I didn't ask when it went pending.

There have been several people reporting ultra-fast turnaround times this past week on other forums.

Unfortunately, my Form 4 is assigned to Snook, who historically seems to be one of the slower examiners.

Santamaria seems to be the rock star of the moment..
