I don't know if this happens every time someone moves after submitting a Form 4.
Between submitting four Form 4s (to place items into a Trust) and now, 10 months later, I had moved to a different state. I also had submitted the form to let me move the NFA items.
Yesterday, the forms and the error sheets arrived, informing me that I had to correct the addresses in blocks 2a and 3a (the July 2014 edition of the Form 4) from my old address to my new one. I had a couple questions and talked to the examiner, who was very helpful.
For instance, one small error was about the model number of a suppressor. I had entered the number exactly as it appeared on the original Form 4 when I bought the suppressor. However, the NFA system had a different model number, apparently the one submitted by the manufacturer. It seems the model number on my original Form 4 slipped through. No big deal and it was a quick fix.
I made the corrections and mailed the forms back this morning.
