You know, under field conditions, cold, windy, off hand, adrenaline pumping, most hunters / shooters would be lucky to hit something 10 times this size. But not me.![]()

For those times when the ATM machine doesn't wanna accept your card.
peahen? That's a guinea, most likely a pearl or white breasted. This peahen is currently hanging out in my yard. Must have gotten away from one of the neighbors. I assume the coyotes will get her. It's nearly dark out.

I was just making a guess based on Google. And of course the first image I found was clearly wrong now that I looked at more. Regardless, I assume something will eat it by morning.peahen? That's a guinea, most likely a pearl or white breasted.

It's happened to me many times, including the last 4 deer I've shot at. Unfortunately it comes with the terrain.
The difference with that one was I DID get it. A doe, the only deer I've ever shot while bedded down. The first shot probably would have been fatal, but she was still trying to get away and I didn't want her to do that. lol She was heading for nasty, thick flooded stuff and I did not want to drag her from there. There were in fact MANY saplings hit, I laid waste to half the forrest that evening. Reminiscent of the scene from Predator, only with a .45-70. It was like a comedy, I couldn't NOT hit wood.

I never hunted with those 300gr JHPs again. They were crazy accurate, but performance was abysmal.

They are amazingly self sufficient and are great at evading predators. They roost in trees.I was just making a guess based on Google. And of course the first image I found was clearly wrong now that I looked at more. Regardless, I assume something will eat it by morning.
And make more noise than anything needs to when in a group. They are amazingly self sufficient and are great at evading predators. They roost in trees.
No kidding! It's like they are all trying to talk over each other and just get louder and louder. It's pretty awesome to see a group of them rip apart a snake. And make more noise than anything needs to when in a group.
This is what happens when they let women be cops. Not sure of the location, but….. someone is headed for the file room View attachment 8249054

You forgot the two slices of cheese on each!!!!
My grandparents were similar. My grandfather worked concrete jobs and my grandmother picked berries, hops or did other odd jobs while he was working. My mom and her sister went to many different schools growing up in the 40's and early 50's.Grandparents and my dad when he was little were pickers all over CA and OR. They finally settled in Myrtle Point, OR. Those accomodations look nicer than the stories they told. Most of the time they were in a tent and took it with them as they followed the harvests.
No wonder there were lots of volunteers for the military.View attachment 82491571939 Oregon, Josephine County, near Grants Pass.

The manager is the one who doesn't understand where the revenue stream comes from. The manager is the idiot. And I own a business, so I know what I am talking about. Those types have no home here. Safety is one thing, and it is extremely important, like critical, above all else. But a dude who knows how we keep everyone employed is the new manager. The horseshit manager who wants to cite regulations for no REAL reason other than to justify his desk job can find another home. And no one will cry when he leaves. I greatly prefer to turn workers into managers. I do not like engineers or managers who have not spent time on the floor - what value can they bring if they don't have real world experience?
The man was a real shooter. National champion in Skeet and set two world records in skeet. In World War II he was an instructor in the US Navy in Aerial Gunnery. He was elected to the National Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame. He knew his stuff. Not like today’s quasi tough, cream puffs. Robert Stack. A real man.
So, that’s how they bend and trash all the wheels on there shopping carts
