One question......
Is this camera infected with built in notification to the ATF (in consort with PRC) to start a registry of everyones guns and what we have in inventory?
Perhaps once you install in your computer China gets full access to files and the cam will be monitoring during quality time on porn sites.

lol...LOL! That was funny! But you forget. I was in on the development from the start. As soon as I saw the facial recognition software embedded in it, I rigged it so that if any order comes to fire missiles aimed at us, the Lat/Lon co-ordinates are changed to hit North Korea instead. No big whoop. It was easier than I thought. Now...if I could only read and write.
Well I will just tell you I had the Lyman Borescope at my house at one time, this is worlds better. I have had a blast today looking at my collection of barrels. I will say this if everyone bought a barrel based on what they look like on the inside the world would be buying Lothar-Walther barrels. Holy shit they are perfect on the inside (shoot pretty damn decent also) which may explain why you can clean them with basically two patches. Interestingly enough though my two best barrels have some roughness to them.

Just got mine today and working on my old Windows 7 Laptop, will be emailing as instructions say to get latest and greatest software update but I have to say just the few minutes of using it once I get the brightness and focus figured out this is amazing for the price!
just tried it with a few handguns I have out of the safe, one I thought I had cleaned last time (S&W 52-2) the scope suggests otherwise....

Just got mine today. Very pleased with the image quality and easy of use. If this holds up its going to be a very worthwhile purchase.
Got mine on Friday...camera works with my smartphone but the LEDs don't despite trying to use the brightness dial. After trading several emails with Teslong they are sending a replacement. We'll see how that one does.

Found my new keystone 223 wylde barrel has a sort of wonky chamber in addition to being the length and threads I didnt order.

Well I couldn't resist anymore. Ordered one even though my now going back Lyman was basically ok. The lighting didn't work that well and of course the picture quality is so much better with the Teslong and being able to record video is majorly cool!
I bought the Lyman at $232 and its now $219 on Amazon, so the market is changing already maybe...

That barrel was actually removed from the action along time ago.
The reason was that I could never get it clean. It’s a Winchester factory barrel (late 70s / early 80s) and there is so much in the way of machining marks in that barrel, that it just gets crudded up in a few shots.
I had GA precision put a Lilia barrel on it, and never look back.
Well, at least until this borescope showed up....

The scope arrived a couple of days ago. It worked for about 10 minutes before the usb commection was lost and couldn’t be re-established on either Mac or Windows. Sending it back for replacement. We’ll see how the next one performs. I will say that the image quality seemed good while it lasted, so hoping for more longevity next time. I guess you can’t expect the same qc for $50 that you get with a $1000 product.

My previous Shilen pre fit had a chamber cut out of whack enough to see with the naked eye.
That barrel was a fabulous shooter.

only issue i have is dimming the light enough without turning it off completely. have not tried external light source.
also tried hooking it up to a teslong display/control unit for a different camera, hoping light control would work better, but was not able to get it to work.

I believe this is the app Gayguns used on page 1? Did see mentioned also in this thread somewhere that the "pro" version for 5.99 has a lot more options that can be tweaked and no nag screens.

i was asking about PC (Win7). I probably won't use my little cell phone screen unless i take this out in the field (not likely).

Good point I wasn't thinking about screen size. Maybe save the pics/video to google cloud and then download to your pc?

The written instructions direct you to a .zip file download and to email support for any upgrades from there, I downloaded and installed on my WIN7 laptop and it works fine. I have yet to email support though.
thanks. i ran both as is, and it takes a while for the picture to refresh (on a pc) so seeing video from others made me believe they were not using Amcap or Endoscope Camera. admittedly, i have not played with it much.

I feel like that’s not that bad. Looks rough as hell but the edges are sharp. My Nagants all look like they have rounded off rifling.
With the great influx of orders, thanks to Sniper's Hide, I wouldn't be surprised if inventory is a little lacking, shall we say...Lol

Yes.. for the money you save on the bore sight --spending $5.99 on the pro version will save you nagging ads and give more options.
Hmm.. did you try the bore sight on a different computer? Could be something with your USB connection on the computer. Does other usb connective things work well in that same slot? (like for eg: a thumb drive, etc.?)

Im wanting to get a used refurb pixel phone for 112 bucks. Im then wanting to plug the bore scope into that phone so that I can have it mobile and take it out into the field with me and not be tied to my computer inside the house.
That little dingy on the end of the usb... is that a usb "C"? And as such it should fit in the usb C charge port of a google pixel? The pixel is android 7.1 but upgradable to android 9. Both of those should be able to work with the video app software I believe.

Yes the usb connections work fine with another camera. The Teslong was drawing power, as the light worked, just no data connection. I was looking at the computer screen when the image suddenly went black and Windows indicated that there was something wrong with the usb device. The replacement is scheduled to arrive Thursday. Hoping for better luck this time.

Found some copper residue as seen by Boretech eliminator that has been sitting in this barrel for at least 1.5 years. Some white squiggly stuff in the barrel too (don't say it). Perhaps it's from running to many dry patches?
Also found something that looks like a lead or carbon deposit in the free bore areas. It's each of the lands, so I'm wondering if it's carbon or possibly something else. Weird. I'll clean the barrel and provide more pics.

Approximately 1500 rounds but honestly abused a lot less, no desert heat blasting and blazing away chasing misses.

Mailer showed that it shipped from Teslong in Lexinton, KY so they've got distribution setup well for my area in NC.
ETA- Just noticed UPS tracking shows the package started off from West Columbia, SC. So that makes more sense.
So was going to post pics of a Lyman vs the Teslong, but frankly there is no comparison: the Teslong is faster, longer, more flexible (good and bad), has MUCH higher resolution/clarity and cheaper...
The only advantage to the Lyman is that it is very simple to use and has a ruler on the camera for finding out how far down the bore a particular dirty spot or issue is.
And I agree with @padom, most people over react to barrel look and blame issues with precision on a single pit or mark in the bore.
The best use for a bore scope for the un-initiated is to tell you when to stop cleaning if your trying to remove copper fouling. That doesn't mean remove all copper every day, simply that when you are cleaning after groups open up, you can identify when enough is enough.
I've scoped about 15 different barrels over (mine and friends) and several of them looked like complete dog$#!T. But they all shot very well. And I'm currently fighting a Bartlein that LOOKS amazing (like flawless Diamond), but am having trouble getting it group better than .6-.8 at 400.
Don't use a Borescope to gauge barrel quality... Only dirty vs clean.

I've had a Hawkeye for close to 25 years now. The ability to take pics with this new inexpensive scope is awesome. Now pretty much everyone that is selling a pre-owned rifle in the PX can post a pic of the bore and chamber ?.
