GAP .500 Battleship

Got to shoot a .500 battleship built by the fine folks at GA precision this week. it was a hoot, George and his gang of miscreants build a heck of a gun. The 647 grain Barnes at 2,350 FPS was a handful but not too much, I would compare the recoil (with break) to that of a .338 WM in a light rifle. You know you just pulled the trigger, there is no doubt about that.

Rifle is built on a CZ 550 action, with their patented and sexy GAP camo, and it will hold 5 rounds in the mag.

Looking forward to putting the hurt on a pig with it very soon. I'll post some pics next week.

Lets see some pics? Whats the parent case? Wait till you try some API or APIT. I just finished my 500ar guess which one it is. Its off a shortened and blown out 416rigby.

5 in the mag! I can only get 2 down and 1 up but my rifle probably only weights 9-10 lbs, no break! The 600gr woodleighs feed from the mag but the milsurps have to be single fed. I've buried the penetrators 3" deep in a solid block of concrete.

What's the parent case of the .500 battleship ?

I'm looking to commence a .500 a2 build. It'll be on a tac 338 action. The cz 550 magnum is an amazing action for hunting!!
