Garmin GPS Battery Recall: Check your S/N's

Garmin is recalling 1.25 million GPS units due to battery overheating and the potential risk of fire. The following models are affected:

nüvi 200W, 250W, & 260W
nüvi 7xx (where xx is a two-digit number)

Since most people own a GPS, I wanted to pass the information on to members of the Sniper's Hide community. I checked my serial number and unfortunately, it was on the list. Hopefully, yours is not. Good Luck

Woo Haa, mine is G2G...good thing, I didn't want to have to reload a new address book or destinations. My 765T is the only thing that keeps me from getting lost in Nashville on VA appointments, however, the thing always tells me I am at 'Virginia Hospital', 'Virginaia Voc Rehab', etc. I guess I may have to spell Veteren's Administration so the girl can say it right.
"In 50 feet, turn right on 24th Avenue." "recalculating" "turn left at West End" "recalculating" "turn left on" "recalculating, dammit switchblade I told you to turn roight back there and you ignored me, then you didn't listen when..." Maybe I can record Panty 6's voice for the thing
