Just got my first bolt gun last month, and I've been getting used to it.

I didn't do any barrel break in at all.

I'd shot 60 rds of military issue 2008 manufacture 118LR through it with my M3 Leupold on it.

Then this weekend, a friend brought me a new HDMR, and I needed to sight it in.

This is how it grouped at 100M with 3 rounds:

I was worried about barrel-break-in, and having not done anything. I'd heard all kinds of people hollering about proper procedures. I did a lot of research on it, and when I couldn't make heads or tails out of endless youtube videos, I decided to just shoot it, and leave the barrel break in to those who need tighter groups than this.

Looks like a good shooting stick. I did a barrel break in on my rifle and groups are about the same. I believe a barrel is like a break in on a new motor. Get it warm then cool off and change the oil.
