I am thinking about putting a Leupold Mk6 3x18 on a short barreled AI with a Spuhr mount to keep the weight down. When using a reticle like the H58 is there any reason to run a canted mount?
Yes because there are going to be times you'll want to dial.
If I'm going to be shooting at one distance for a longer period of time I dial. I also like to dial for ELR distances. Otherwise I holdover with my Horus reticles.
Also it's best if the erector is centered in the scope as much as possible which a angled base will help with if you plan on shooting longer ranges often.
