Awesome photos and story. Looks and sounds like a once in a lifetime trip. Tough to fathom the guy was involved in that part of history and got to go back and see it in current times.

Amazing images... what a bike trip that would be to take!
Wonder how much of that stuff is still live... They keep detonating in France after almost 100 years. I'd be very wary handling some of that stuff... or walking too far off trails.
