Yes because there is so much labor involved in these products. It's one thing when you talk McMillan stocks that are still mostly hand made ( although if you look at the McMillan videos on the net it seems they went from nearly all Mexican laborers to Chinese ones in newer vids) or mostly machined parts where cost is as much or more a factor of the machine cost and productivity as it is labor cost.
End of the day most of these companies you would parade as paying 'mericans' decent wages , offshore much of their product lineup overseas, being that optics, backpacks, bipods, tripods, electronics etc , just about everything that is not required to be made in US by the customer, in textile products you can see companies having exact same products Berry compliant for US Gov order and Chinese for rest , your average gun owner is all up into chinese gear, total and absolute 'poor' gearwhore .
