I need a name for a rifle action company. Help me and win.

"EMPYREAN ARMS"

Said to be the highest form of heaven, supposed by the ancients to contain the pure element of fire. Also means to be formed of pure fire or light.

You could tap into a large list of cool names and themes from Greek mythology for actions and rifles. How bad ass would Zeus look stamped into the side of an action!!

Independence Rifles , Independent Rifles or short named Indy Rifles

Action names:

Victory
Triumph
Conquest

I like the Lakota idea, quite a bit.

My spin would be the company name Lakota Rifle Works.

Chief (magnum action?)

BoilerUP, that's great! In my moment of enlightenment, I overlooked this one.

I have Indian blood, and I have to say, that I am pissed that all we have for notoriety is Savage (Salvage) Arms. Savaaaj, in your best french accent, as Graham would say.

This one is from a friend of mine: Terra Firma Actions.

"Terra Firma" as in earth. As in down to earth.

A few ideas for your contemplation:
Husker Ordinance Works (models: harvester short action, reaper long action)
Breadbasket Rifles
Tornado Ally Precision Rifles (models: F1 short action, F2 long action, F3 magnum long action, F4 XL action, F5 50 BMG.)
More to come later.

you guys are not disappointing me. There are some very good names here. Thanks Also there is not really a set deadline for this yet.

Shadow Precision Arms has crossed my mind

Shadow Works Precision

Rifle Names:

Cerberus: Latin form of Greek Kerberos, meaning "demon of the pit."

Erebus: Latin form of Greek Erebos, meaning "darkness."

Akeldama: Greek form of Aramaic ħqêl dmâ, meaning "field of blood".

Apollyon: Greek name meaning "destroyer."

Legion Arms (or Ordnance)
or
Legend Arms

Potential Rifle names : (continuing in the Roman theme)

Legatus - leader of 2 or 3 Legions
Tribunis - 2nd in command of a Legion
Preafectus - 3rd in command of a Legion

Centurion - professional officer
Legionary - heavy infantry
Primus - commanding Centurion
Praetorian (guard) - Bodyguards
Sagittari - archers
Scorpio - artillery piece
Venator - a hunter
Ballista - crossbow

Praetorian Actions/Arms: After the Praetorian Guard of ancient Rome. Developing a logo/brand is limitless - see roman banners.... Also, names for product lines is also limitless using names, battles, etc.

Thermopylae Actions/Arms: The power of a patriotic army defending native soil in 480 bc. The product line at the top of the list would be the "Leonidas", Warrior would have to be in there somewhere.

Tombstone Actions/Arms: Great logo/brand - outline of tombstone with RIP.... Product lines - undertaker, sleeper, graveyard, etc...

Finally, Carnivore Actions/Arms. Logo/brand - fang/claw. Limitless product lines....

Good Luck,

Tim

Here are my three for company names. Ill try to think up more

Infidel Arms, industries, machine, aerospace

Operator Arms, industries, machine, aerospace.

My Favorite
Belligerent Arms, industries, machine, aerospace.
definition: waging war; specifically : belonging to or recognized as a state at war and protected by and subject to the laws of war,

inclined to or exhibiting assertiveness, hostility, or combativeness

Juggernaut action works

noun
1.
a huge, powerful, and overwhelming force or institution.
"a juggernaut of secular and commercial culture"

Sandhills Rifle Works.

Because God knows you can shoot a mile in the sand hills.

This is good guys keep them coming. Also don't PM me just post ideas here so you can be visible in the running. Thanks

Overwatch Arms Incorprated and Tier 1 Precision are pretty sweet names also. I feel they sound more professionally based comapred to anything having to do with the 2nd amendment, such as patriot or grim reaper enuendos.

What about the "Kyle" Action. In recognition of the late Chris Kyle. You could name your different models based on words associated with him. The "Kyle Trident", the "Kyle Overwatch", the "Kyle Legend", etc. I'm sure there would be legal issues that would need to be sorted out and I would assume you would have to get permission from Taya Kyle, Chris' wife. You could also offer royalties to a Foundation of her choice or even directly to the Kyle family for each action sold. I think it would be a great tribute to an American Hero.

Phalanx Arms
or
Spear Arms
(you could use different spears as models)
They are from all over the world and history
Atlatl (using leverage for faster throws)
Javelin
Trident
Doru
Sarissa
Xyston
Kontos
Pila (heavy javelin, armor piercing)
Hasta (short spear)
Naginata (Samurai)

Or Mythological names:
Ascalon (used to kill the dragon)
Gungnir (Oden's spear)
Bident (Hades' spear)

Constitution Arms
Using founding fathers as models
Adams
Jefferson
Franklin
Washington
etc.

This is by far the best idea, I'm pissed I didn't think of it.

Javelin could be your standard 308/260/6.5
Pila could be a 338 Lapua and 300 WM's
Hasta could be your short barrel set up's

ALOT of potential here

Revolution (or Revolutionary) Actions (or Arms)
The significance is in the double innuendo of “revolution.”
RA – Battalion (Short action)
RA – Brigade (Long action)
RA - Division (Magnum action).
Each could have a “Marine” prefix for Stainless Steel (i.e. Marine Division)

I joined just to post this.(longtime lurker) Scott is a good guy and they do business the right way. I'm blessed (and cursed) to live about 10 minutes from their shop and 5 minutes from my range.

Keep it simple and do American Arms or US Arms
Then do the models after the states names. Which could include color schemes to match common landscapes of the state. Rifle design could also be after the type of hunting common in that state. For example wyoming is know for pronghorn hunting so do a sporter style rifle who's color matches the open tundras. That also gives u 50 models to design

Harrier Arms. Actions named after regional native raptors:

American Kestrel
Cooper's Hawk
Prairie Falcon

I feel a strong connection to products I associate directly with a place.

Crusader Arms/Ordinance/Precision/Actions

Ares: God of War
Arms/Ordinance/Precision/Actions

Sparrow
Defiance
Rail
Osprey
Stalker
Chamber
Stabilizer
Condor
Arms/Ordinance/Precision/Actions

S for short actions
L for long actions
Ex:
S-308
L-338LM

Might as well throw in my 2 cents...seeing as they are remington Style Short actions..how about :

reAct (as in REmington ACTion) or reAct Ordenance etc...

then have rifle names like the reAct Patriot, or the reAct confederate..

Or expand the comopany name to be "Reaction Gunworks"...same rifle names etc
