Re: JANUARY 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RF COMPETITION

Please dont take this the wrong way, I am new to this so I just need to know how it is done. On top predators score he has 3x's but four in the black, so how are the X's counted? In the black or in the X ring in the middle of the black.
Thanks

Re: JANUARY 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RF COMPETITION

that's ok, no wrong way taken, the center ring that has an X in it with the white circle is still worth 10 points, it's just extra specially designated as an "x" also. the outer portion is still worth 10 points, but without an "x" designation.

so the 10 ring is actually 2 parts, both worth 10 pts, the inner has the extra "x" designation.

it's a "warm and fuzzy" thing that it's the centermost of the target.

Re: JANUARY 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RF COMPETITION

My favorite part of the range does not have a target board at 50 yards, a portable board needs scrounged up so I can compete at 50

Thanks to all that participated and shared their thoughts in the learnings thread. Seems this newest edition competition is popular, and hopefully will continue to be as it opens up alot of shooting oppurtunities at short range with various equipment / sight setups, and brings us all back to basic marksmanship skills instead of relying on support devices.

Thanks JOE MARTIN for putting this together!

We had a few .17's out there doing their thing, nice to see some .17 data compared to .22lr.

Also a BIG THANKS to the Sniper's Hide moderators that allowed us to get a "sticky" for our competitions and learnings threads.

Looking forward to February, a month of love, presidents, and groundhogs....and 28 days of "the Hide".
