Outstanding for the people in NZ. Fuck all politicians that want to turn free people into slaves.
We need to be more like the Hong Kongers.
They are bringing a brutal totalitarian regime to their knees with their protests and occupations of government buildings.
Imagine if we had the sack to stand up to our Republics leaders that must, for the mean time, show a civil face...........
Too bad American businesses in the Google mold are probably applying facial rec, online filtering and other social media monitoring to identify the Hong Kong protesters who are than probably "disappeared" during the night.
The Commie Chinese wont allow a "Tiananmen Square II" you can be assured.

Civil disobedience on the level that we are seeing right now is the first major step to making actual change. Done correctly and efficiently, it will actually prevent violence. This sends a clear and razor sharp message to the powers that be: "We didn't invest in thousands of dollars worth of state of the art firearms, optics, and ammunition just to put holes in paper and cardboard. If you think that we bought/built them and put in countless hours of training and perfection on them just to turn them in, think again".
There were very few voices online on their major gun boards expressing outrage at the gun confiscations when it first started. It is probably because those who felt the most amount of outrage are actually preparing to do something about it if push comes to shove. Kudos to them. If they are ready to stand up and fight, we will support them.

Doesn’t really count yet. They haven’t started any buybacks nor have they started rounding anything up with consistency yet so none of this really matters. Just theatre. We will see what kind of kiwis the kiwis have in 6 months to a year.
Traditionally relaxed in its approach to firearms regulation, and enjoying a low crime rate, New Zealand has no firearms registration rule. That means authorities have no easy way of knowing what guns are in circulation or who owns them.
Anyone that owns a gun and doesn't understand this is a complete and total fool.

700 firearms is one too many. those are guns that were supposed to protect people.

New Zealand's post-Christchurch gun ban is in effect and the country has witnessed about 700 rifles being handed over at this point.
Apparently at least some are already considering a revolution.
