When I do my load development for cartidges such as .243, .308, .223 I develop loads using the "ladder" method and usually will vary my charge weights by .3gr increments. When working loads for large bores (i.e. .338 Lapua), it seems as though .3 increments would be to small due to the overall capacity of the cartridge. Therefore, what grain weight increments are fine enough to develop loads in these types of cartridges (.5gr, .4 gr, etc.)?

375 H&H I stepped through in 1.0 gr increments.

I have been trying loads for the 338lm in .5gr increments. my next session I was going to go .2gr around the the more consistent loads and see what happens.
