load for magnum mill. sniper rifle

i saw in american sniper that he used a 300 winchester magnum cartrige for his long range shots.what loads do the us for this?are they sierrir bullets of the matchking type in 190 grain or something else?

Loads today are 220 SMKs. Not sure what they were 10+ years ago

from what i understand there are 2 common military 300 win mag loads.

Mk248Mod0.......which is essentially FGMM 190gr

Mk248Mod1.....which is a 220gr loading for longer engagements past 1500 yds.

I didn’t know they listed such detailed specs. Thy are using H1000

Thanks McC. I found the pressure and accuracy requirements particularly interesting! Personally I'm glad the good guys are getting better tools!
