I need a low cost (ideally around $500) semi-auto 12 ga. Gas operated and light weight. Plastic stock preferred. It will be used for a rainy weather clays gun for one son (fullsize boy) and a starter shotgun for another (smaller boy). Reliable enough that I don't have to worry about it making it though 100 birds. Is A300 the way to go? Something else? Thanks.

Its hard to beat a Mossberg 930. Its good enough for Jerry Miculek. I'm looking to get one for waterfowl hunting.

A300 Outlander? The barrels flash rust about like the Remington 870s do so it needs to be wiped down after or just buy the camo version. The synthetic versions do come with LOP spacers and drop/cast spacers.
The 390 was a nicer shotgun.

Anyone know much about the AL390? I assume this is an earlier 391?
