I've recently been trying to get the dates of manufacture for all my guns and I'm down to just one and am having trouble. It's an old Marlin 37 pump given to me by my grandfather about 7 years ago.

Seems that most Marlins are dated either by a letter prefix to the serial number, or a two letter code stamped on the barrel. I've gone over this gun with a magnifying glass and can't find any codes stamped on the barrel, receiver, or anywhere else. Besides the serial number, which is 10xxx, there is a star stamped on the top of the tang.

Any Marlin guys out there that can help me out, I'd appreciate it.

I've searched through RFC and can't find any info on a 37. I don't have an account with that site because I only have the emails that they don't allow.
