I was just after some feedback in regards to building a 300 Norma on the Long Mausingfield action with the .589 bolt face. I am just a little concerned about the small barrel tenon size for this case and strength of the action. I know it is built very well as I already have a short action and absolutely love it but I am wondering if I should use a specially designed action for the .589 cases like a Surgeon Xl with the bigger barrel tenon etc.
