A nice looking cat a friend of mine took a few weeks ago. From the Upper Peninsula.

Re: Michigan bobcat

I think the cat spread some kind of fungus to your face!

but that looks like a very nice big cat!

Re: Michigan bobcat

By looking at the head you can tell it's a nice sizeand has nice fur too.

Re: Michigan bobcat

Was the cat snared? looks like there could be a line around it's neck from the wire. Are cats commonly found in the UP?

Re: Michigan bobcat

It doesn't look like it Adam. The colors on the cats differ and appear to be darker on your link.

Re: Michigan bobcat

No,thats not the same cat that old timer got in pickford. And yes there is a good population of cats in the northern lower and in the upper peninsula of michigan. They thrive in swamp and or river areas. As far as weight i dont think it was weighed. 35 lbs is my best guess. All fur, not like that cat from pickford.
These cats get big and brave. A local hunting show had some video of a bobcat getting after a whitetail.
