OK so I have a 1 piece 25moa pic rail base for my CZ 455 rimfire by DIP. Its a nicely made item in so far as fit and finish however it just dosnt look right due to the cut out not matching the ejection port. The DIP rail is oversize and IMO really distracts from the lines of the rifle.
What I'm considering is milling it into two pieces and actually tapping the receiver to fix the bases.
My question is since its a canted base would there be an issue with doing this in terms of the spacing between the bases. Obviously the tall base would go in the rear and the short in the front. would varying the spacing influence the cant?
Thinking it through in my head I'm thinking no but figured I would ask some of the smarter folks here first
