MOLLE Vest recommendations

I have signed up for the Rocky Mountain Steel Quest and need to get a MOLLE vest.

The link is to a style I think will work best. What brand do you suggest? What setup do you think I need to incorporate into my vest? I have a US PALM plate carrier but I dont think that will suffice.

First question, are you going to put plates in it?
Second question, is there a reason you want a carrier over a bag, or chest rig?

I only ask because, I thought my perfect solution was going to a PC, turns out, the thing blows goats for the type of shooting I do. Its hot, plates are expensive and heavy, mobility is reduced. I changed my mind and went with a chest rig, it has AR (.223) pouches, but will fit .308 mag's (and or boxes of ammo best of both worlds I guess) a little snug but not hard to get out. Plenty of MOLLE real estate. Combined with a battle belt, the load weight can be distributed evenly. Leaps and bounds more comfortable than the PC I had.

How much do you want to spend? What other events are you planning on using this rig for?
