Mount issues

Putting a 2x7 scope on son's AR. Can't find the old Nikon 2 piece mounts like I used. All the 1 piece mounts are spread too far apart for the short tube of a 2x7.
There are other high rise 2 piece mounts I've seen, but they all look like cheap junk. Any suggestions?
