It's not to much optic and I have one of the $99 Crossfires so here's my opinion. The knobs are exactly what you'd expect in a $99 scope, not tactile and kind of blah...the mildot reticle doesn't appear at first glance to actually be the right size at any power....but I need to investigate that first.

However, for a $99 scope, I'm actually extremely impressed. I might buy another just to have for 22lr plinking, etc. I was shooting next to my buddy with a 5-25 Premier, obviously the Premier was head and shoulders better, but we both agreed that for $99 it was a great value.

shooting groups and log range plinking i was originally thinking of shooting coyotes but this build eneded up pretty heavy so in the future probably grab a 22-250 for that but its always an option i just sank so much into my build fund are tight for optics

I've spent time with the old, new and different model Crossfires, and my opinion is, the best one out there is the 4-16x50 AO illuminated mildot model. It's identical to the 6-24x50 30mm model, but it doesn't "ask the glass to do too much" with the 16x and 3mm+ exit pupil at max power. I found the 24x to be a bit hazy from 20-24x and the sight picture to be less than satisfactory. YMMV. The 4-16 is about the ideal budget tac scope.
